E6 Hard Materials offers a specialist service to the steel industry related to the production of hardmetal hot mill rolls. The use of tungsten carbide as a material in hot rolling mills stems from the 1960s. They offer high wear resistance combined with sufficient toughness in these applications.
E6 Hard Materials places great emphasis on grade selection and development to support these requirements. Our Hardmetal hot mill rolls are manufactured to customer specifications.
Solid carbide rings as well as composite rolls can be supplied fully ground, inclusive of pass grooves. The latest available manufacturing technology is applied during the process to ensure the integrity of the components.
