Brendon Grunewald (Head of E6 Ventures)

Heading up the Ventures team is Brendon Grunewald who has had direct experience of building businesses from start up and being involved at various executive positions in major companies including Siemens in Germany. He served as CEO and board member of Sinfilo, where he took the company from incorporation to one of the best known WLAN operators in Europe with a successful exit to Telenet in October 2003. Brendon is also founder and CEO of IceVista, an advisory firm based in Brussels, Belgium that assists companies and investors of all sizes with research, financial structuring or restructuring, refinancing, fund raising (debt and equity), investments and divestments as well as due diligence, mergers and acquisitions. Brendon is also the founder and chairman of the non-profit organisation, the Polar Conservation Organisation.

Christopher Ogilvie Thompson (E6 Venture Commercial Operations)

Christopher Ogilvie Thompson, has a wide breadth of experience in sales and management within high technology companies. With a background in chemical engineering, Christopher has strong experience in building new business opportunities and markets for synthetic diamond particularly for the new advanced engineering applications that are now possible as the result of technical breakthroughs in diamond synthesis. Christopher’s role will be to support the transition of research activities into product development and, ultimately, sales.

Chris Wort (E6 Venture Manager Technology)

Chris Wort, the funds technical manager, provides technical advice to all portfolio companies. Chris has been actively involved in all aspects of the development and commercialisation of CVD diamond since 1986. His considerable experience in diamond synthesis technology has culminated in more than 22 granted patents and more than 25 scientific publications. As well has his pioneering work in diamond synthesis he has also taken active project management roles in product development. This gives Chris unique insight into the innovation process and the steps needed for commercialisation.
