Element Six will make its debut at Intermat, the major construction industry exhibition
Element Six will be demonstrating its key tooling solutions for the mining and construction industry at Intermat 2009. Taking place in Paris between 20-25 April, Intermat is one of the world’s three largest exhibitions that brings together the major players in the construction materials-production industry. Held every three years, this major exhibition and conference is a key showcase where companies can demonstrate their latest products and technologies. In previous years, the event has attracted more than 200,000 visitors from more than 120 countries.
E6 Hard Materials, which is the business unit of Element Six specialising in the application of tungsten carbide in tooling solutions that span the construction, mining and tunnelling industries will be demonstrating its range of mining and construction tools which are used in applications such as road planing drilling, milling and trenching.
“Despite the current economic situation, we felt that it was important to attend such a major event as Intermat 2009. It demonstrates our confidence in the long-term opportunities in the construction industry and that we have the right solutions and technology to support customers in this sector,” says Karl-Georg Hildebrand, Head of E6 Hard Materials. “Our tooling solutions are designed to deliver the commercial benefits of tungsten carbide through cost-effective solutions that enhance productivity through improved tool life.”
As well as its extensive range of road planing picks, E6 Hard Materials will be demonstrating its patented Master Grade Tungsten Carbide solutions. Incorporating nanotechnology, this innovative tungsten carbide material offers up to 50% improvement in tool life in many situations.
