Buy Online: Element Six CEO Christian Hultner outlines vision in Financial Times Interview
In a major article on Element Six published in the Financial Times on 7th July 2008, Christian Hultner, CEO, talks about the future of the synthetic diamond business and the investments and development that will drive that future.
In particular, he spoke about the new Ventures fund set up this year, which has already financed three new businesses in the UK and the US. “We see a great many commercial opportunities in artificial diamonds and hope this fund will help new ventures to grow in a profitable manner,” says Christian Hultner in the article.
He also discussed some of the ideas for new products that are emerging out of research into diamond synthesis and its application in various fields. He suggested, for example, that artificial hips could one day be made out of synthetic diamond,but diamond’s potential spans many more applications from electronics to water treatment.
Mr Hultner used the interview to point out that growth continues to be strong for Element Six and that the ambition is to double the annual sales of the company from its current level of $500 m by the year 2013.
