Diamond PureOptics™: The first all-diamond optic

Element Six's Diamond PureOptics™ eliminates the need for thin film AR coatings for increased system reliability at high optical power densities  

 

Drawing inspiration from the anti-reflective structure of a moth’s eye, our Diamond PureOptics™ features an anti-reflective (AR) meta-surface for 10.6 μm wavelength.

 

 

No coating required – offering enhanced reliability

  • Eliminates the need for the current industry standard thin film AR coatings
  • Ideally suited to applications such as EUV lithography where high power densities can lead to coating failure

Outperforms thin film AR coatings

  • >10x greater  laser induced damage threshold (LIDT)
  • Reflectance comparable to thin film technologies (less than 0.5 % per surface)
  • Weak angular dependence (<10°) from normal on reflection
  • Extreme mechanical robustness (>100x) with excellent scratch resistance.
  • Lower window operating temperatures

Available in:

  • Up to 60 mm diameter polycrystalline diamond windows
