Our defence component manufacturing solutions
Element Six supermaterials are used in cutting, milling, drilling and grinding applications in the manufacturing of aerospace defence components, vehicles and craft. For the use of titanium and carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP), our supermaterials provide high precision production, extended machine tool life and improved operational productivity.
We work closely with our customers to develop specific defence industry tooling solutions, successfully helping them to develop processes which meet exacting end-user requirements. Our range of supermaterials includes polycrystalline diamond (PCD), polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN), cubic boron nitride (CBN) and tungsten carbide.

Beyond the cutting and abrasive tooling for manufacturing components, synthetic diamond materials are themselves used at the core of emerging defence solutions, such as detectors, homeland security, radio frequency communications and ultra-wear resistant windows.
