Cyrus joined Element Six as CEO in October 2008, and was simultaneously appointed to the De Beers sa ExCo. In July 2010, he was appointed to the Board of De Beers Diamond Jewellers. After studying Medicine at University of London, Cyrus joined Schroders plc, the investment bank in 1991 as a graduate trainee in Corporate Finance and Asset Management. He subsequently moved into strategy consulting with The Kalchas Group, setting up their US offices in Chicago and New York before returning to London and joining Bain & Company in 1997. At Bain, Cyrus was appointed a Partner in 1999, before becoming European Head of Consumer Products in 2003 and Managing Partner (UK) in 2007.
