Initial trials of EOx (Electrochemical Oxidation) employing free-standing BDD electrodes to destroy PFAS show promising results. The extreme oxidation potential and high current densities (> 2,000 Am-2) that these electrodes create have been shown to destroy even the more recalcitrant short-chain PFAS compounds.
